Manny Neves
o Manny Neves was the first to bring Mixed Martial Arts to Rhode Island in 1999 and brought
grappling to New England in the early 1990's. He has been involved in the fight game for over
20 years; fighting in Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA and on the mats. Manny personally
teaches all the classes.
Manny has won many state and regional championships. He is the World Light Heavyweight
Muay Thai Champion. He holds numerous title belts. Manny is the Rhode Island MMA Light
Heavyweight Champion in 1999. He has been awarded as Instructor of the Year in 1995-1996
and was inducted into the hall of fame for mixed martial arts in 2007.
Now at the age of 42, Manny Neves has joined the likes of Ken Shamrock, Randy Couture,
Mark Coleman in retirement. All fighting combined, he had a total of 108 wins with 12 losses.
He is currently training over 200 students and title belt holders in Mixed Martial Arts, Muay
Thai and Kickboxing.

o Bert Neves is one of the best boxing coaches in Rhode Island. With over 30 experience in
boxing and coaching Bert brings a wealth of knowledge that few can come close to matching.
Many fighters who have trained under coach Bert have gone on to be golden gloves and junior
Olympic medal winners.
